Tour WebTop: See What It’s All About

By Naomi Dolin-Aubertin

We've been talking about WebTop's virtual desktop, how it brings your office onto any device and how this can revolutionize your business. But what does that mean exactly? How does it function? And more importantly, how can it function for you.

WebTop Default

So today, I'm going to give you a tour of WebTop. WebTop opens up with a default set of applications. First off, you can see how clean and streamlined the WebTop virtual desktop is. All the applications you normally find scattered across your desktop or by opening the menu bar are side-by-side in one place. You'll notice that your calendar is on the right; your applications are in the middle; below them is a preview of your inbox. On the right sidebar, there are links to external websites and an information box. Now if you look to the right of the default tab, you'll see another tab labeled "NaomiWebtop." Let's look at that:

WebTop Custom

You can see that I have customized my WebTop to highlight my favorite applications and widgets. I eliminated the Information widget and dragged My Weblinks to a more prominent spot on the page, as I use them frequently. I also dragged my calendar down to show just the month and added a Wikipedia widget. The customizing features allow you to quickly access the information you use the most, as well as scan your calendar and inbox; and after customizing your own WebTop desktop, the program will automatically open to your personalized screen.

Finally, it is quick and easy to customize your own WebTop with the widgets you want and need.

WebTop Webparts Widgets

These are a few of the widgets you can put on your WebTop page. You can add your contacts, your local weather forecast, a maps widget or even a translate feature. Once you've customized WebTop, it's easy to get to work; on your phone, tablet or PC.
